Abstract:
In this paper the researcher made an effort to investigate the profits of visual based tasks on improvement of idiomatic expressions` learning during COVID_۱۹ based on In Other Words book by Baker (۲۰۱۱). To do so, the researcher chose ۱۰۰ students from Mohadeseh School as the society of the study. In addition, to homogenize learners, the researcher gave an Oxford Placement Test (OPT) to select ۷۰ intermediate learners as the main participants of the study. In addition, after selection the researcher divided them into two groups as experimental and control groups. Before and after treatment the researcher gave a pretest and a posttest to evaluate learners` improvement during the two-month course of education. The obtained result demonstrated the fact that visual based task had a positive impact on idiomatic expressions` learning among EFL learners in the experimental group.
