Abstract:
FQAM (Frequency and quadrature amplitudemodulation), the method combines with FSK and QAM which mostlikely applied in mobile network. This method has potential tobecome future mobile network. This research is mainly derivingapproximate analytical formula of FQAM’s BER (bit error rate) infast flat fading channel with two feasible methods: differentialtransmission with non-coherent receiver and pilot-based withchannel state information estimation. BER in this two methodsdepends on channel Doppler spread, and extra control by adjustingpilot spacing can be applied in pilot-based method. Conditions tochoose the reception methods are provided. Analytical formularesult for BER is compared to the simulation results of BER in samecondition. Analytical formula result is proved it’s precision byhighly matched in comparison with simulation result.
