Abstract:
The current study aimed to explore the possible impact of women’s marriage age on their mental health,anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The study adopted a causal-comparative methodology. Thestatistical population consisted of all the students at the University of Tehran in ۲۰۱۸. Throughconvenient sampling procedures, a total of ۱۶۰ participants were included in the sample. General HealthQuestionnaire, Beck’s (۱۹۹۰) Anxiety Scale, and Mazlie’s (۱۹۹۷) Obsessive-compulsive questionnairewere used to collect the required data. The collected data were entered into SPSS (Version ۲۰) andvariance analysis and Tukey test were run. The results revealed the significant influence of women’smarriage age on their mental health, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The couples’ agedifference was also shown to influence women’s mental health, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsivedisorder. Further, it was found that the educational level would make a significant impact on their mentalhealth, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
