Abstract:

Bi۲O۳-KBi۶O۹Br and bulk graphitic carbon nitride (g-C۳N۴) nanophotocatalysts were successfullysynthesized via microwave-combustion and thermal decomposition methods, respectively, to treat anantibiotic-contaminated water sample. Characterization of the photocatalysts was carried out by XRD andFESEM techniques. The XRD analysis confirmed the formation of the desired phases, and the FESEManalysis also showed nanorod morphology for the samples. The fabricated nanophotocatalysts were usedto degrade ۵۰mg/L Tetracycline-HCl (TC) under simulated solar light. ۷۲.۰% and ۶۹.۴% efficiency fortotal adsorption and degradation were achieved respectively over the mentioned photocatalysts in a ۲۱۰min photocatalysis process.
