Abstract:

In this study, square grid-stiffened composite plates are investigated under three point bending numerically and experimentally. These structures were made of composite laminates based on [۰, ۹۰]s and unidirectional fiber glass-epoxy. Manufacturing process of this structure is presented in this article. Behavior of this structure under three point bending is investigated and failure modes introduces that the main failure is debonding between skin and ribs. Finite element code LS-DYNA was used in this research for numerical simulation. There is a good agreement between numerical and experimental results. The role of grid structure is studied by comparison of forcedisplacement curve of grid structure with forcedisplacement of ribs and skin which were loaded separately. In final part, parametric study on behavior of grid stiffened composite plates is performed.
