Investigation of cracking in concrete dams

Usually, after an earthquake, cracks are observed in the body of concrete dams, and despite considering the necessary measures in the design of the dam body, due to the tensile forces caused by the earthquake, cracks occur in the concrete. If these cracks are not properly controlled, they will destroy the dam body. In this research, the method of crack formation and the effective factors in its formation, the method of crack propagation, the classification of the types of cracks created in the body of concrete dams, and the strategies for preventing or repairing the cracks created in the body of concrete dams have been investigated.
