Abstract:
Power transformers has an important role in electricalpower transmission and its interruption has financial losses, thusits condition monitoring is essential and performance of thisequipment is effective for power system reliability. VibrationFrequency Response Analysis (VFRA) method is one of effectivemethods to monitor the condition of transformer windings andcore. This paper propose a method for internal winding faultsdetection in power transformer base on vibration signal analysissince these type of fault if not quickly detected, they usuallydevelop into more serious faults which result in irreversibledamage to the transformer and the electrical network,unexpected outages and the consequential costs. With occurringan incipient internal fault in transformer current in shorted coilsincrease and flux leakage distribution changes in faultytransformer, after that axial and radial forces enter to thewindings, these forces increase vibration in transformer windingdepends on fault severity and location. In this paper Vibrationsignal is used for internal fault detections. ADXL۳۳۰ sensor isused for vibration signal measurement in experiment.
