Abstract:
Recovery is a process through which a person improves his health and hygiene, lives independently and meaningfully, and participates in a community outside the mental health system. Focusing on biological treatments and drug therapy has caused neglect of attention to non-biological factors affecting recovery and planning to correct it. Today, the families of patients with bipolar disorders play an active role in caring for their patients. The successful management of these bipolar patients in society significantly depends on family caregivers. However, few studies have been conducted in relation to the needs and experiences of family caregivers of bipolar patients. The purpose of this study is to identify the needs of families caring for patients with bipolar disorder.
