Abstract:

In this paper a new computational method based on AI methods called Bayesian theory is used for voltagetransient instability prediction. The ability of the proposed theory is determined by the system and loadcharacteristics, and the interactions of both continuous and discrete controls and protections. For samplegeneration a series of measurements are taken with ۵۰ms sampling windows under various faultsincluding operational and topological disturbances. The performance of proposed method is verified on۳۹ IEEE dynamic test system and the simulation results are presented for Bayesian training and testing.The results show the ability and influence of the proposed method for voltage transient instabilityprediction and can be used for protection devices.
