Technical-economic comparison of power line carriers inelectricity industry

Analog PLC systems have been used so far in electrical installations to communicate for the purposes ofremote protection, sending and receiving data, fax or telephone conversations, which are generally used inhigh voltage power transmission lines and in which one or Several phone channels are transmitted on acarrier signal and the frequency range of this carrier signal is from ۲۰ kHz to ۵۰۰ kHz. In this article, afterreviewing analog and digital power line carriers in the electricity industry, we will make a technical andeconomic comparison between these two systems.
