Abstract:
Bacterial wilt disease or potato brown rot is one of the most important diseases of potato family in terms of spread and amount of damage. The damage of this disease sometimes reaches ۱۰۰% of the crop. The agent of the disease is Ralstonia solanacearum bacteria with the characteristics of spore less, capsule less, gram-negative, nitrate reducer, aerobic and rod-shaped, and the optimal growth of most isolates takes place at ۳۰-۳۲œC. There are also related bacteria such as R. pickettii, R. eutropha and BD bacterium, and today, various methods have been reported to identify this bacterium and its related bacteria. In this review, a number of molecular, serological methods and commercial kits have been introduced.
