Technical and practical investigation of broadband systems on power lines in the electricity industry

Broadband systems on power lines are a new way to access high-speed Internet, which provides Internet with a speed equivalent to ADSL and even more by using the existing infrastructure of the power grid. BPL is a new technology that many advantages and disadvantages have been identified during various field tests. In this article, the applications of broadband systems in smart networks, its advantages and disadvantages, and its industrial and international standards have been discussed .
