Abstract:

Background: Considering the role of miRNAs in cancers and their function as mediators of host environment interactions, studies on the effects of electromagnetic fields on the expression of miRNAs are useful in understanding the mechanism of action of electromagnetic fields in the development and progression of cancer. In this research, the effect of static magnetic fields with intensities of ۱, ۲, and ۳ mT on miR- ۲۱۴ expression change has been investigatedMaterials and Methods: The cell viability was measured by MTT assay. Expression changes of miR–۲۱۴ was measured by real-time PCR. RNA extractionResults: The results showed that the cell survival rate and expression of miR- ۲۱۴ has decreased significantly under the influence of magnetic fieldsConclusion: miRs change their expression under the influence of magnetic fields with different intensities, and the regulation of signaling pathways through them can play an important role in the biological effects of low-frequency magnetic fields
