Abstract:

Calculating locational marginal price (LMP) is an efficient method for optimizing distributedgeneration (DG) resources. In this paper, a method based on training and learning basedoptimization algorithm (TLBO) is presented to calculate LMP in buses connected to DG, whichaims to simultaneously increase the benefit of DG unit owners and also reduce network losses.Considering the uncertainty in the electricity market price and its direct impact on the benefitsof DG units and network losses, the Information Gap Based Decision Theory (IGDT) methodhas been used to model the uncertainty of the electricity price. In the presented method, TLBOalgorithm and IGDT method are combined so that the obtained answers are optimal andreliable. By using the presented method, the network operator can evaluate the risk aversionor risk-taking of the answer before applying each algorithm answer and in this way find out thestrength of the answer. The model presented in this paper is implemented on a ۳۳-buses IEEEnetwork in MATLAB software. The results of this study show the usefulness of the proposedmethod compared to previous methods in various aspects, including reducing losses andbenefit of DG units in distribution systems
