Abstract:
The expansion of industrial centers and the growth of electrical loads on distribution networks constantly challenge network designers and managers. The aim is to optimize and enhance network performance to mitigate the increase in losses and undesirable voltage drops resulting from the surge in demand. The cost implications of these losses and drops are significant for electricity distribution companies across the country. Although large centralized facilities such as fossil fuel, nuclear, or hydroelectric power plants can reduce costs to some extent, transmitting the generated electricity over long distances has adverse environmental impacts. Therefore, distributed generation resources are currently gaining interest among designers as they reduce network losses and utilize locally generated electricity. This study utilizes MATLAB software to simultaneously optimize distributed generation resources such as fuel cells, wind turbines, and solar cells, with a focus on improving their performance. The research also accounts for uncertainties posed by environmental changes.
