Abstract:

In this research, the simultaneous effect of waste glass powder (WGP) as partial cement replacement (up to ۳۰%) and PVC granules as a substitute for a portion of the aggregates on the mechanical behavior of concrete specimens was investigated at ۷, ۱۴, ۲۸ days of curing period. The findings indicate that replacing aggregates with ۳۰% PVC granules leads to a reduction in compressive strength up to ۱۸%. However, this substitution also causes a decrease in the specific weight of the sample by ۴.۵%. Moreover, there is a substantial decline in strength as the amount of glass powder increases. Furthermore, the results show that by increasing the amount of glass powder, the impact of the sample's age on the compressive strength decreases.
