Abstract:
Given the historical value of old buildings and architectural elements mixed with art and building identity, old urban fabrics are evaluated based on their close connection with social culture and their dependence on structures with unique spatial uses and applications. Revival and organization based on principled restoration of historical buildings in decaying urban fabrics can lead to a boom in tourism, culture, society, and economy through revitalization and renovation for preserving the original identity of buildings, architectural heritage, and urban planning. Important developments in historical cities and renovation of buildings in decaying urban structures are explored in various areas of revival and consistent with the components of development and revitalization through the compatible and interconnected change in use. This can attract tourists and revitalize the regional tourism industry. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the historical market zone and analyze the components from a practical perspective to revive the fabric and increase tourism. This descriptive-analytical study examines the methods and strategies of preserving the historical identity and employs field observation and analysis and library research to collect and analyze the data.
