Abstract:

Earthquake effects are usually applied by defining an earthquake coefficient, as well as with the advancement of knowledge in the field of earthquake engineering and the development of more accurate methods for estimating the intensity of possible earthquakes, including technological methods and structural modeling with Abaqus software. The process of seismic analysis and evaluation of structures has become more complete and the effect of more parameters can be included in the risk assessment of each structure. Numerical analysis is done in three dimensions. The effects of the interaction of the dam, reservoir, supports and nonlinear behavior of concrete, as well as the response contribution of each of the stability factors against the seismicity and accelerometer of Manjil earthquake on Dez arched concrete dam are evaluated. Modeling has been done in Abaqus finite element software and the model is located under ۱MCL accelerometers.Therefore, the process governing the continuation of this thesis will be described first. The purpose of this description is to get a clear picture of the analysis done in this thesis. Then the description of how to model in analysis in Abaqus is discussed
