Abstract:
The synthesis of green nanoparticles (GNPs) by environmentally friendly methods has attracted significant attention in recent years, owing to their potential utilization in a multitude of applications. These nanoparticles exhibit unique properties that make them suitable for a diverse range of fields, including but not limited to biomedicine, catalysis, energy, and environmental remediation. This review aims to comprehensively overview the synthesis methods, applications, and bioactivity of GNPs, and highlight their crucial role in various industries. The discussion delves into the different approaches used to synthesize GNPs, ranging from simple chemical methods to complex biological processes. These methods are designed to ensure that the production of GNPs does not harm the environment or pose any health risks to individuals involved in their synthesis. In addition to their synthesis, the review also sheds light on the various applications of GNPs, from their use in imaging and diagnostics to their application as catalysts in chemical reactions. The bioactivity of GNPs is also a critical aspect of their utilization, and the review delves into this aspect, exploring their toxicity, biocompatibility, and biodegradability. However, the development of GNPs is not without its challenges and limitations. In conclusion, the increasing emphasis on sustainable and green technology has made GNPs a rapidly growing field of research with far-reaching implications for various industries.
