Abstract:
Following the perforation of the hollow organs of the body, such as the stomach, small intestine and large intestine, the patient experiences sudden abdominal pain and becomes guarded during the abdominal examination. One of the ways to diagnose it is standing chest X-ray, which can show free air in the area below the diaphragm in ۸۰% of cases. In ۲۰% of cases, this air cannot be identified and we have to do a CT scan to diagnose it. CT scan is not available in many areas, and even if it is available, it requires a lot of radiation to the patient and the cost is high at the same time, it is not possible to do it in a critically ill patient, so if it is possible to increase the accuracy of diagnosis in a simple chest or abdomen graph, it will help the doctor and the patient a lot and reduced the blurring of the image, then we separated and categorized the desired area using the method of image segmenting and contouring according to the characteristics of free air in medical images. Also, in order to increase the accuracy and quality of diagnosis, bat evolutionary algorithm was applied. The results showed improvement in the detection and performance of the algorithm.
