A contribution to the knowledge of the Ichneumonidae (Hym.: Ichneumonoidea) from Neyriz county of Fars province, Iran

A survey was performed to investigate the fauna of Ichneumonidae in Fars province during ۲۰۱۲ to ۲۰۱۳. Totally, ۱۴ species belonging to ۱۳ genera and six subfamilies were collected and identified including: Exetastes adpressorius (Thunberg, ۱۸۲۲) (Banchinae); Diadegma semiclausum (Hellén, ۱۹۴۹) (Campopleginae); Cryptus inculcator (Linnaeus, ۱۷۵۸); Dichrogaster saharator (Aubert, ۱۹۶۴) (Cryptinae); Diplazon laetatorius (Fabricius, ۱۷۸۱); Enizemum ornatum (Gravenhorst, ۱۸۲۹); Homotropus nigritarsus (Gravenhorst, ۱۸۲۹); Homotropus signatus (Gravenhorst, ۱۸۲۹) (Diplazontinae); Colpognathus celerator (Gravenhorst, ۱۸۰۷); Diadromus collaris (Gravenhorst, ۱۸۲۹); Ichneumon sarcitorius Linnaeus, ۱۷۵۸; Virgichneumon callicerus (Gravenhorst, ۱۸۲۰) (Ichneumoninae); Orthocentrus asper (Gravenhorst, ۱۸۲۹); Picrostigeus setiger (Brischke, ۱۸۷۱) (Orthocentrinae), of which Exetastes adpressorius and Picrostigeus setiger are newly recorded for the fauna of Iran. In addition the male of the latter species is recorded for the first time and described. All species except Dichrogaster saharator are new for Fars province.
