Abstract:
Dynamic cutting force is one of the basic and important information for the design ofagricultural harvest systems. Therefore, in this study, a system was designed for measurementthe cutting force in dynamic and semi-static modes. This system is designed and built to be asimulation of the cutter bar of harvesters. The designed system was used to determine thecutting force of wheat in two modes. The system was evaluated at different cutting barfrequencies and the results showed that the frequency of ۶۰ Hz is suitable for cutting wheat.The cutting force for wheat was recorded in both modes and based on it the shear strengthwas calculated. The results of this study showed that the shear strength in the semi-static stateis almost three times that of the dynamic state. The value of shear strength in dynamic modeand frequency ۶۰ Hz is equal to ۱.۱۶۳ MPa.
