Abstract:

One of the diseases and sexual disorders that affects many men and women is a decrease in libido. If a person is less inclined to have sex than their partner, this does not mean that there is a problem or that the person's behavior is abnormal, although this difference in wants and needs can cause problems. Similarly, it is possible that a person's desires have decreased compared to previous times, but he experiences stronger emotional relationships than before. Therefore, there is no specific number to express the sexual health of a person and these tendencies vary from person to person. Decreased libido refers to cases where sexual desire is low or absent at all. This definition also differs according to the patient's level of satisfaction with his sexual desire. Sexual activity in some men may seem low to others. Libido problems affect a small percentage of men in the general population. Libido is primarily a hormonal and brain phenomenon. Sexual desire requires a normal level of testosterone (male hormone) in the blood and attractiveness of the opposite person. A person who lacks sexual desire does not want to initiate sexual intercourse, and in case of initiating sexual intercourse, his low sexual desire shows in the inability to get an erection (in men) and if the patient has erectile dysfunction for the first time without any previous sexual symptoms and If he experiences an adequate erection at night, the cause is probably psychological and there is no erectile dysfunction. It is also known about the decrease in sexual desire, whether the person has a new problem or it has been there from the beginning. Several factors can affect the level of sexual desire. Physical and emotional health in the relationship, lifestyle and the type of current relationship can affect women's libido. The most common reasons for decreased libido in women are: ۱. Sexual problems such as pain during intercourse ۲. Diseases such as arthritis, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and neurological diseases ۳. Medicines such as antidepressants ۴. Excessive consumption of alcohol and smoking or drug addiction ۵. Breast or genital surgery, such as vaginal cosmetic surgery, etc. ۶. Fatigue from taking care of children, busy work or illness and surgery. Unwillingness to have sex in women causes numerous psychological and emotional injuries in these people and decreases marital satisfaction and increases marital burnout. Based on this, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on sexual reluctance in women.
