Abstract:
Energy consumption optimization in a microgrid with a focus on energy efficiency and considering distributed generation using genetic algorithm and demand response is investigated in this paper. The main objective of this optimization is to reduce the costs of electricity production and purchasing from the grid. To achieve this goal, all energy generation and consumption resources, as well as the energy distribution network and its related parameters, should be taken into account. In addition to distributed generation sources, the upstream grid can also be utilized as an energy source, and energy storage is available within the network, facilitating the optimization of energy consumption. The paper also addresses the challenges associated with distributed generation in optimizing energy production and consumption. Given the importance of this topic, the article aims to provide solutions for improving efficiency and reducing costs in energy management and optimization within the microgrid.
