Abstract:
A numerical investigation is reported of hydrodynamic behavior of liquid metal upflow in an isothermal and vertical concentric annular ducts. For this purpose the governing momentum equations have been solved by the finite-difference method using Prandtl mixing length theory. The radial distribution of the mean velocity and other characters are obtained and compared with available experimental data successfully.
