Abstract:

In this paper, the optimal placement optimization of distributed generation resources in a ۹-bus electric distribution network is investigated, considering variations in load uncertainty. The main objective of this study is to enhance the placement of generation resources by minimizing losses, voltage deviations, and power plant generation costs. To achieve this goal, we employ the Monte Carlo simulation method to account for load uncertainty in the placement of generation resources. Subsequently, utilizing the Particle Swarm Algorithm, we determine the optimal locations for the placement of generation resources in the system. Simulation results indicate that this approach is capable of increasing network stability, reducing voltage drops, and significantly improving system performance. Load uncertainty is considered a key factor in the analyses, and it is thoroughly examined and taken into account in the optimization decisions to ensure substantial improvements in real-world conditions.
