Correlation between level of consciousness and some cT findings in chronic subdural hematoma

There is little information concerning the correlation between clinical and CT findings in chronic subdural hematoma . This study was performed on ۶۹ hematoma patients to find correlations between CT findings and GCS. Ninety one percent of patients were male and ۹℅ were female. The average age was ۶۳. In ۸۷℅ of cases, the lesions was unilateral and in the remaining ۱۳℅ , it was bilateral. The results indicated that there  is a statistically significant correlation between GCS and sedimentation level ( p<۰.۰۰۰۱) there was also significant reversed correlation between GCS and brain shift ( r=-۰.۳). The correlation between GCS and size of hematoma was shown to be very weak ( r=-۰.۱۳).
