Chemical Fixation of CO۲ with ۲-Aminobenzenethiols into Benzothiazol(on)es: A Review of Recent Updates

This paper presents an update review on recent advances and developments in chemical fixation of CO۲ with ۲-aminobenzenethiols into benzothiazol(on)es. For clarity, the review is divided into two main sections. The first section is a discussion of the synthesis of benzothiazole derivatives via cyclization of ۲-aminobenzenethiols with CO۲, while the second consists of an overview of cyclocarbonylation of ۲-aminobenzenethiols utilizing CO۲ for the synthesis of benzothiazolone derivatives.
