Abstract:

Slow tourism emphasizes social responsibility, environmental considerations, cultural identity, and historical context in travel. It encourages interactions and relationships with locals and the environment, making travel more enjoyable. Slow tourism areas can increase local income and employment by reducing financial leakage to foreign suppliers. Emphasizing quality over quantity and staying longer in a place encourages neighborhood restaurants, agricultural land, and businesses. In this article, I will examine the value proposition of the concept of slow tourism as it pertains to the Slow Tourism Value Proposition Matrix. I have connected the concept of value proposition from marketing literature to slow tourism for this reason.
