Abstract:
In this paper, a new energy-efcient, current-mode (CM) full-adder circuit is designed in Carbon Nano Tube FET (CNTFET) technology which is an emerging and the most promising candidate for replacing the conventonal CMOS technology. The proposed full-adder is designed in the current mode logic in order to beneft the current-mode advantages over the conventonal voltage mode. The proposed full-adder is simulated in HSPICE using Stanford CNTFET technology model parameters. The simulaton results justfy the low-power consumpton and high-speed performances of the proposed full-adder circuit which results in the reduced power-delay product (PDP) performance, while the proposed circuit employs only ۱۱ CNTFET transistors which leads to the small chip size area of the proposed design in comparison with other reported current-mode full-adders.
