Investigation of the Mach number at ۳ different angles and ۴ different lengths at a constant angle of ۱۳ degrees in the diverging section of the convergent-divergent nozzle

Abstract:

One of the sections of fluid mechanics is computational fluid dynamics, which is used for solving various fluid flows through numerical simulations. Increasing the angle in the diverging part of the converging-diverging nozzle has been experimentally and numerically investigated by various researchers for better performance and overall optimization of the converging-diverging nozzle. In this study, the Mach number parameter has been examined. A conical converging-diverging nozzle using axisymmetric and pressure-based model with specified dimensions and four variable lengths of ۰.۲۴, ۰.۴۸, ۰.۷۲, and ۰.۸۴ meters considering the constant length of the diverging part at ۰.۸۹ has been conducted. In the diverging part, the angle changes with the variation of each length. With ۳ angle changes of ۳, ۲۰, and ۳۵ degrees after each length, the nozzle with a constant angle of ۱۳ degrees in the diverging part has been investigated. The results of this study indicate that the Mach number at a ۱۳-degree angle with a length of ۰.۴۸ and after this length with a ۳۵-degree angle change has the highest Mach number compared to other items.
