Abstract:

In this study, a system consisting of a photovoltaic collector, a PEM electrolyzer unit and a doubleeffectabsorption cycle is studied, which is placed on the roof of a car. The photovoltaic system is themain source of energy, and the PEM unit and absorption chiller are used to produce hydrogen andcooling, respectively. The cooling is transferred to the inside of the car to supply the welfare of thepassengers. The produced hydrogen can be used as the source of the energy to be used in the carengine. The system was analyzed thermodynamically, and the effect of different parameters wasstudied. By designing the electrolyzer for different radiations in one day, it was shown that if theelectrolyzer is designed for the radiation of ۶۹۵ W/m۲, it will have the highest amount of hydrogen inone day. It was also found that exergy has an inverse relationship with the applied voltage. Also, theresults show that by increasing the temperature of the evaporator of the double-effect absorptionchiller, the energy and exergy efficiency of the system and the performance coefficient of the systemincrease. Increasing the temperature of the absorption chiller generator reduces the system efficiencyand performance coefficient
