Abstract:
This paper proposes a novel framework toachieve the state-of-charge (SOC) balance, average voltagerestoration, and accurate current sharing in a DC microgrid.In this work, a state-of-the-art adaptive control framework isintroduced to assure reliable operation of a DC microgrid. Anadaptive droop control algorithm is included in the primarycontrol to update the droop coefficient based on the monitoredaverage values of SOH and SOC of the BESSs. The globalinformation for the dynamic network is estimated via anadaptive consensus algorithm in the second control layer. Wealso define an objective function to minimize the differencebetween the DC bus voltage and nominal value in the secondlayer. The proposed framework guarantees the restoration ofthe DC bus voltage during diverse operating conditions andtransmission or self-communication delays. A stability analysisalong with Simulink simulations are presented to affirm theeffectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
