Abstract:

The primary objective of this study was to examine how the inclusion of Probiotic Vibrio alginolyticus in the diet affects the digestive, hematological, and immune parameters in fingerling Lates Calcarifer fish. The fish used in the experiment had an average weight of ۷.۲۵±۰.۷ grams and were obtained from commercial farms. They were housed in ۱۲ polyethylene tanks, each with a capacity of ۳۰۰ liters. Over the course of ۲۱ days, the fish were fed a commercial diet supplemented with Probiotic V. alginolyticus. The fish were provided with meals three times daily, with the feeding quantity corresponding to ۴% of their wet body weight. The formulated diets were appropriately stored at a temperature of ۴ oC until they were utilized. The outcomes of feeding fish with various concentrations of the probiotic V. alginolyticus and their effects on digestive indices, hematological indices, and immune indices were investigated. In terms of digestive indices, significant differences were observed in the levels of the amylase, lipase, and protease enzymes among the treatments. Fish fed with ۲% probiotic V. alginolyticus showed the highest enzyme levels. Moving on to hematological indices, variations were found in the levels of Total hemocyte, semi-granular cells, Hyaline cells, and large granular cells among the treatments. The treatment with ۱% probiotic V. alginolyticus exhibited the highest levels of Total hemocyte and semi-granular cells, while the treatment with ۲% probiotic V. alginolyticus displayed the highest number of Hyaline and large granular cells. Lastly, in terms of immune indices, significant differences were observed in the values of the lysozyme and phenoloxidase enzymes among the treatments. The treatment with ۲% probiotic V. alginolyticus had the highest lysozyme enzyme value, while the treatment with ۱% probiotic V. alginolyticus displayed the highest phenoloxidase enzyme value.
