Abstract:

Lead-free inorganic perovskites are of great interest and can provide high efficiency and better performances similar to lead-based perovskites. In this study, SCAPS numerical simulation is utilized to evaluate and optimize the results of lead-free perovskite solar cells based on double perovskite (FA)۲BiCuI۶ as an active layer. By optimizing the solar cell design, we predict that the double perovskite (FA)۲BiCuI۶ solar cell with the FTO/PCBM/(FA)۲BiCuI۶/CuI/Back-contact structure can attain a power conversion efficiency of up to ۱۷.۷۰%. Our analysis indicates that (FA)۲BiCuI۶ double perovskite has great potential as an absorbing layer towards the development of an efficient lead-free all-inorganic perovskite solar cell.
