Abstract:
Little attention has been paid to human adaptive responses and methods to assess the feasibility of adaptation measures in development of climate adaption. Adaptation helps ensure that our urban environments are healthier in the face of inevitable climate change. Also, it seeks to lower the risks posed. This study explores the potential of Tehran for future climate adaptation programs in order to reduce pollution. Tehran climate is located in warm climate and people are sensitive to cold weather, the major problem is pollution which will be intensified by climate change. Moreover Tehran‘s transportation infrastructure is not adapted to rainy and snowy weather. It concludes that urban planning policies can have key roles in adapting urban systems to many climate change effects. The majority of the world‘s population is now urbanized, suggesting that adaptation will be crucial in order to develop urban systems that are resilient to climate change effects. Therefore, there is a need for more clarity in the legal obligations for climate change consideration
