Abstract:

Embedded through-section (ETS) FRP bar method is one of the existing methods forrehabilitation of reinforced concrete (RC) beams. In this paper, a state-of-the-artfracture mechanics-based maximum pull-out force model is presented. Besides, amaximum shear stress model is proposed with different coefficients for CFRP andGFRP bars to use in the maximum pull-out force equation. ۲۱ pull-out test specimensin the literature were considered and their maximum shear stress and maximum pulloutforce were calculated based on the proposed models. Results showed that theproposed models have the capability of predicting the maximum shear stress and pulloutforce precisely
