Abstract:

One of the most important challenges in the software industry today is software testing. Software testing is an essential part of the software development life cycle. During the testing phase, software defects can be detected and corrected, which can significantly improve the quality of the software product and increase its chances of success in the market.Deciding on the allocated time for the testing phase is a critical activity in ensuring quality assurance. The extension or reduction of the testing time can affect the success of the entire project, depending on the uncovered errors in the software components. Since software testing can significantly increase project costs, excessive testing can lead to even higher costs, while insufficient testing can jeopardize the quality of the project. Therefore, prioritizing software components for testing is essential to achieve optimal testing performance within the allocated time.In this research, we used fuzzy logic with the KLOC method to reduce the cost and time of software testing, which has significantly helped to improve software production and reduce software errors.
