Abstract:
Abstract: This study delves into the impact of geometric infill shapes on the tensile properties of ۳D-printed parts, underscoring the widespread adoption of ۳D printing across hobbyist and in-dustrial spheres for product development. The study uses fused filament fabrication (FFF) on an open-source desktop printer to examine rectangular, diamond, and hexagonal infill patterns alongside solid specimens. Tensile testing was according to ASTM D۶۳۸ standards, incorporating percentage infill relative to cross-sectional area. A distinctive aspect of this research is its con-sideration of percentage infill in calculations. Comparative analysis revealed performance varia-tions among shapes. The abstract maintains an objective tone, succinctly presenting background, methods, results, and conclusions while avoiding unsubstantiated claims or exaggerations.
