Investigating the Heat Transfer and Vulcanization Reactionin Temperature Changes of thePoints of a Thick Piece in the Process of Accelerated Sulfur Curing abstract

Temperature and curing time are among the most important factors influencing the curing of thickparts. In this research, a raw rubber compound was placed in a trapezoidal mold by heating it in a curing press,and the temperature changes of several points inside it was recorded, then the previous experiment wasrepeated with the cured compound inside it. In justifying the observed temperature changes, it was found thatthe heat effect created by the reaction in the process is a factor that should be considered in the simulation ofthe process.
