Abstract:
This research presents an overview of technical applicability of advanced oxidation process (AOP) in removing organic pollutants from aqueous solution by different Nano-TiO(2) morphologies: Titania nanotubes (TNT’s) and Degussa P25 TiO(2) nanoparticles (NP’s). Apart from the effect of radiation intensity as a major influencing factor, effect of morphology on degradation efficiency is presented as well. Then performance of individual parameters is compared. It is evident from the literature survey that photocatalysis with UV irradiation alone or coupled with TiO(2) are frequently applied to mineralize target pollutants.Overally, the nanotubes had the best photodegradation catalysts for removal of Bromocresol green (BCG) from aqueous solution.
