Abstract:

Marble waste, derived from the extraction and processing of marble, possesses suitable physical and chemical properties that can enhance the mechanical properties and durability of concrete. Research conducted in Iran and globally indicates that using marble waste as a replacement for cement and aggregates can lead to increased compressive strength, reduced permeability, and improved durability of concrete against environmental factors. Additionally, the use of marble waste as an additive can influence the adhesion and workability of concrete. Utilizing marble waste can help reduce production costs and CO۲ emissions. Ultimately, it is concluded that marble waste, as a valuable recycled material, can play a significant role in sustainable development and environmental protection.
