Abstract:

The sources that have been used a lot by humans in recent centuries are underground water sources, which are mostly threatened by human activities. Groundwater risk management against contamination lies in the fact that contaminated groundwater can pose significant risks to public health and the environment. The purpose of this research is to understand and investigate ways to prevent, manage and correct pollution in underground water systems, as well as protect human health and the environment against risks related to underground water in Tehran province. The research method in this research is mixed. First, the risks of underground water against pollution were identified through field visits and interviews with experts, then the PI of the risks was determined by multiplying the probability of occurrence by the intensity of the effect. The ranking results showed that industrial activities, landfills, agricultural activities, mining activities and domestic sewage are of high importance, whose PI is ۰.۶۸, ۰.۶۳, ۰.۴۹, ۰.۴۵, ۰.۴, respectively. which were identified as the top five risks, after examining the risks, measures for the top risks were presented in this research. In future research, it is better to investigate geological, chemical and environmental factors to evaluate groundwater pollution.
