Abstract:

Aluminum particles have very little ability to cement metal ions at pH>۳ due to the presence of an oxide layer. Recently, it has been determined that adding electron mediator particles to the aqueous environment significantly increases the amount of metal ion cementation by aluminum. In the research, laboratory research was done on three subjects. First, the correctness of the previous research was investigated. In these preliminary experiments, the effect of adding titanium oxide as an electron mediator in the process of cadmium ion cementation by aluminum pore was investigated at ambient temperature and pH=۵ in ۲۰ hours. The results showed that in the cementation process, ۲۴% of cadmium was removed from the environment by aluminum powder. But by adding titanium oxide, more than ۶۳% of cadmium was removed from the environment; which shows that the presence of titanium oxide had more than ۲.۵ times the effect on the reduction of cadmium from the aqueous phase medium.
