Abstract:

The present research has analyzed the content of the text, images and questions of the ۱۰th grade mathematics and statistics textbook in Iran based on the active and inactive content of the textbook based on William Rumi's method and the method used in this research is content analysis. The statistical population of this research is the mathematics and statistics book of the ۱۰th grade of high school in Iran related to the field of literature and humanities. The findings of the research show that the coefficient of student involvement with the text of the book is ۱.۲۵, which shows that the text of the ۱۰th grade math and statistics book is written in an active way. Students are actively involved in learning. Also, in the question analysis section of the book, the coefficient of the student's engagement with the questions was determined to be ۲.۰۱, which shows that the student is not actively involved in learning when faced with the questions, and the book asks the student to do some kind of analysis and an activity about each question.
