Abstract:

Today, the way of teaching in classrooms has changed and requires the use of technologies such as video projectors, smart boards and other tools. Many people believe that the traditional education system is not suitable for today's world and is not compatible with the expectations that people have from the classroom. Educational technology means the use of audiovisual aids to increase the quality of learning and optimal use of time. Today, technology plays an important role in various fields, including education. The use of educational technology by teachers can create dynamism and vitality in students, and also the teacher can increase his experience in the field of teaching and increase his ability. Technologies and teaching aids, in terms of combining theory and practice, make learning lasting and diversifying in the classroom. The current research was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of using new technologies in education. The research method in this article is the library review method. To collect information, internal and external sources related to the subject, including articles, theses, and various magazines, have been used. In this research, an overview of the meanings of educational technology, the history of the emergence and development of educational technology in the world and Iran, and its place and effectiveness in the teaching and learning process have been discussed. In general, the results of the research showed that the use of technology is one of the requirements of education in the teaching and learning process, and this has an effect on increasing the quality of learning, strengthening the problem-solving skills and critical thinking of students.
