Abstract:

This study aimed to investigate the economic impacts of renewable energy on job generation. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the findings underscore the enduring significance of energy in human life and its role in fostering economic growth along other influential factors. Nowadays, many countries strive to invest in emerging technologies to utilize renewable energy sources like solar, wind, or hydro energy, which pose less environmental pollution compared to fossil fuels, as sources to meet their energy needs. In fact, using renewable energy not only satisfies energy demands and offsets a portion of the reliance on fossil fuels but also yields positive economic outcomes in both the short and long term, albeit with varying degrees. Consequently, the advancement of macroeconomic metrics is linked to the formulation of policies aimed at promoting renewable energy production within countries. By virtue of their capacity to generate employment opportunities and foster income generation, renewable energies empower and fortify the self-sufficiency of local communities while contributing to the realization of poverty alleviation objectives
