Abstract:

This groundbreaking research highlights the promising potential of incorporating mindfulness-based techniques in the treatment of anxiety disorders in youth. However, while this corpus of studies presents encouraging findings, we must remain cautious due to methodological limitations that require further exploration. It is important to conduct more thorough research, taking into account different mindfulness-based approaches and factors such as intervention methods and sample demographics. Despite its current limitations, this emerging evidence presents a promising opportunity for growth and expansion in the field of mindfulness-based interventions for anxiety in young people. This research reveals the potential of strategies such as visualization, attentional concentration, awareness, and mindfulness in effectively addressing the anxiety issues faced by young individuals. However, it also highlights the need for further exploration and refinement of these novel approaches to treating childhood anxiety disorders through rigorous assessment.
