Abstract:

According to the excessive emission of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO۲) caused by the combustion of fossil fuels, CO۲ regeneration from sunlight offers a promising method for global warming and energy crisis. This study describes the facile preparation of copper electrodes coated with copper sulfide nanoparticles by electrochemical depositionthat could have significant implications for sustainable energy production.The investigation of thickness changes under different preparation conditions and the evaluation of the best synthesized sample using FESEM, XRD, and EIS analyses in the photoelectrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide are crucial steps in understanding the performance and efficiency of the photocatalyst. The results obtained from this study could potentially pave the way for the development of efficient, low-cost, and sustainable energy production methods using copper sulfide photocatalysts.
