Abstract:

Three-dimensional printing technology in the construction industry, as an advanced innovation, has high potential for improving sustainability and reducing waste. This article examines the impacts of this technology on sustainability and efficiency in construction projects. The aim of this research is to analyze the economic and environmental benefits of ۳D printing in construction and to evaluate its challenges and limitations. The research methodology includes a review of scientific sources and case studies from projects implemented using ۳D printing. The results indicate that the use of ۳D printing can lead to cost reduction, acceleration of the construction process, and reduction of material waste. This technology also enables the use of environmentally friendly materials, which helps improve the environmental sustainability of projects.Furthermore, ۳D printing allows for the design and construction of the most complex structures with high precision, which reduces construction errors and improves the final quality of projects. Other advantages of this technology include reducing the need for skilled labor in certain construction stages and creating new job opportunities in areas related to ۳D printing technology. However, challenges such as high initial costs, material limitations, and regulatory challenges still exist, requiring further research and development.This article provides a comprehensive analysis of these benefits and challenges and offers suggestions for improving and better utilizing ۳D printing technology in the construction industry. Widespread use of this technology can help create a more sustainable and efficient construction industry, which will lead to the conservation of natural resources and the reduction of environmental impacts.
